Effective date: 11 August 2026
This policy explains how PadKit handles information when you use the app.
The developer and data controller is Chris Wilkinson, trading as CodeJudo ("CodeJudo", "we", "us" or "our"). If you have questions about this policy or want to exercise your data-protection rights, email hello@codejudo.co.uk.
Information stored on your device
PadKit stores the following information locally on your device:
- Your business details and logo
- Pad templates and settings
- Information entered into completed records, which may include customer details
- Signatures captured in the app
PadKit does not provide user accounts or a CodeJudo cloud-sync service. CodeJudo does not receive the business information, records, logos or signatures stored in the app.
You control the information you enter and are responsible for ensuring that you have a lawful reason to collect and use information about customers or other people in your records.
Exports and sharing
You choose when to generate, save or share a PDF or setup file using Android's file and share interfaces. The app you choose to share with will handle the file under its own privacy policy. Setup exports exclude signatures and completed records.
Purchases and subscriptions
Google Play processes payments and related purchase information. PadKit uses RevenueCat to verify purchases, manage subscription status and restore access. Google and RevenueCat may process purchase, subscription and technical identifiers for these purposes under their own privacy policies:
CodeJudo does not receive your full payment-card details.
We process purchase and subscription information because it is necessary to provide paid app features and manage your entitlement to them. We may also keep records where necessary to comply with legal, tax or accounting obligations.
Crash diagnostics
If crash reporting is enabled, PadKit uses Sentry to receive limited technical diagnostic information, such as exception details, app version, and device and operating-system information. We use this information for our legitimate interest in finding faults and improving the app's reliability.
PadKit is configured not to send business-record contents, signatures, logos, screenshots, session replays or default personally identifying information to Sentry. Sentry handles diagnostic information under its own privacy policy.
How long information is kept
Information stored in PadKit remains on your device until you delete it, clear the app's data or uninstall the app. Removing the app may permanently remove local information. Export any important PDFs and business setup files before uninstalling PadKit, clearing its data or changing devices.
Purchase information and crash diagnostics are retained by Google Play, RevenueCat and Sentry according to their respective retention policies. We keep any support correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain support records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.
International transfers
RevenueCat, Sentry, Google or their service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, the relevant provider or CodeJudo uses safeguards recognised by applicable data-protection law for those transfers. See each provider's privacy policy for more information about where and how it processes data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the rights to access, correct or delete it; restrict or object to its use; and request a portable copy. These rights may be subject to legal limits.
Most PadKit content is held only on your device, so you can view, edit and delete it directly in the app. For information processed by CodeJudo or its service providers, contact hello@codejudo.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
If you are in the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. We would appreciate the opportunity to address your concern first.
Children's privacy
PadKit is a business-productivity app and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a CodeJudo account or sync service because the app provides neither. If you believe a child has provided personal information to CodeJudo through support or diagnostics, please contact us so we can investigate and, where appropriate, delete it.
Security
PadKit limits data collection by keeping business content on your device. You are responsible for protecting access to that device and for choosing secure methods when exporting or sharing documents. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, but we and our service providers use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information handled.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when PadKit's features, service providers or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or on this page where appropriate.
